Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy for Nuvex Nova, Inc. (“Nuvex Nova,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your personal information when you use our marketplace, websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”), including when you visit our website, create an account as a Client, Tasker, or Sales Representative, post or perform Tasks, or engage with us in sales, marketing, or support interactions. Reading this Policy will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the Platform.

Last updated: July 30, 2026Effective: July 30, 2026

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to all Users of the Platform, including Clients (individuals and businesses that post and fund Tasks), Taskers (independent trade professionals who perform Tasks), Sales Representatives, business API customers, job applicants, and visitors to our public pages.

It covers personal information we collect through the Platform, through direct communications with you (such as email, phone, or support inquiries), and through third-party services we integrate with. It does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services that we do not control, even if they are linked from the Platform. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you interact with.

2. What Information Do We Collect?

2.1 Personal Information You Disclose to Us

In short: we collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us. This depends on the context of your interactions with us, the choices you make, and the features you use. It may include:

  • Identity and contact data: full name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and profile photo.
  • Account credentials: passwords and authentication data (passwords are stored in hashed form and are never readable by us).
  • Professional information from Taskers: trade skills, certifications, professional license numbers and documents, work history, resume, hourly rate, service radius, and availability.
  • Verification information: government-issued identification documents, date of birth, legal full name, and, where applicable, the last four digits of a Social Security number or tax identifier collected during contractor onboarding.
  • Business information from business Clients: business name, business type, EIN/Tax ID, number of properties managed, authorized contact details, and verification documents such as business licenses or Articles of Incorporation.
  • Task information provided by Clients: scope of work, site address, access instructions, scheduling preferences, requirement files, and photos of the work area.
  • Payment-related data: billing address and payment method details. Full card and bank account numbers are collected and stored by our payment processor (Stripe), not on Nuvex Nova servers; we retain only limited references such as card brand and last four digits.
  • Content you submit: photos, completion notes, reviews and ratings, dispute descriptions and evidence, messages, and support inquiries.
  • Application data from job and role applicants: resumes, cover notes, assessment answers and scores, and interview-related information.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

2.2 Sensitive Information

We process limited sensitive information only where necessary to operate the Platform and where permitted by law, specifically: government identification documents and partial tax identifiers for Tasker identity verification and contractor onboarding, background screening results for Tasker eligibility, and precise geolocation from Taskers during active Tasks. We do not use sensitive information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

2.3 Information Automatically Collected

In short: some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you use the Platform. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include:

  • Log and usage data: service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect, such as your IP address, browser type and settings, date/time stamps of your activity, pages and features viewed, searches, and error reports.
  • Device data: information about the computer, phone, or tablet you use to access the Platform, such as device and application identifiers, operating system, hardware model, internet service provider or mobile carrier, and system configuration.
  • Location data: for Taskers with an active Task, precise GPS location as described in Section 6. For all Users, we may infer imprecise location (such as city or region) from your IP address.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used for authentication, security, and session management, as described in Section 9.

2.4 Information Collected From Third Parties

  • Background screening results from public-record data sources, including court record databases and the national sex offender registry, used solely for Tasker eligibility.
  • Payment, payout, and identity status information from our payment processor (Stripe), including payout account onboarding status.
  • Social login profile data if you choose to register or sign in with Google, as described in Section 10.
  • Referral information from Sales Representatives who refer or onboard Clients, limited to the details needed to attribute the referral.
  • Mapping and geocoding data from our mapping providers used to convert addresses into coordinates and display site locations.

3. How Do We Process Your Information?

In short: we process your information to provide, improve, and administer the Platform, communicate with you, ensure security and prevent fraud, and comply with law. Specifically, we process personal information to:

  1. aFacilitate account creation, authentication, and account management, so you can create and log in to your account and keep it in working order.
  2. bMatch Clients with qualified Taskers based on trade, skills, location, availability, and trust metrics.
  3. cVerify Tasker identity, review professional licenses, and conduct background screening to determine and maintain Platform eligibility.
  4. dProcess payments, hold Client funds pending completion, calculate and issue Tasker payouts, apply platform credits, and process refunds.
  5. eVerify on-site presence, arrival, time worked, and departure during active Tasks for accurate billing, payouts, and safety.
  6. fDeliver Task lifecycle communications, including Task offers, status updates, overage requests, receipts, invoices, and dispute correspondence.
  7. gRespond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  8. hSend administrative information, such as changes to our terms and policies.
  9. iCalculate Sales Representative commissions and measure referral performance.
  10. jEvaluate applications for Tasker roles, internal careers, and business API accounts.
  11. kMonitor quality, review completed work, and resolve disputes between Users.
  12. lDetect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity, including maintaining audit logs of sensitive actions.
  13. mAnalyze usage trends to understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it.
  14. nComply with legal obligations, including tax, financial recordkeeping, and lawful requests from public authorities, and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Information?

In short: we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in the following situations:

  • Service providers: vendors who perform services on our behalf under contract and only as instructed, including payment processing (Stripe), identity verification, background screening data sources, mapping and geocoding providers, cloud hosting and storage, email delivery, and analytics. These providers are contractually required to safeguard your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • Other Users, as necessary to complete a Task: a Client sees the assigned Tasker’s first name, photo, skills, ratings, and relevant professional details; a Tasker sees the Task site address, access instructions, and the Client’s first name and contact details needed to perform the work. Reviews you post are visible per Platform design.
  • Sales Representatives: limited to information about the Clients and demo prospects they directly referred or onboarded, for commission attribution and relationship management.
  • Business account administrators: if your account is associated with a business account, that business’s administrators can see Task, billing, and usage information tied to the business.
  • Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nuvex Nova, our Users, or the public, including for fraud prevention.
  • Business transfers: in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of our business or assets, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information, with your consent.

6. Geolocation Data

For Taskers, we collect real-time precise location data during active Tasks to verify on-site presence, confirm arrival and departure, and support accurate billing and payouts. Location updates are logged periodically while a Task is active.

  • Taskers are notified when location tracking is active and may disable location sharing at the device level; doing so may prevent them from performing Tasks that require verification.
  • We do not track Taskers when no Task is active.
  • Raw location records are retained for a limited period (generally 30 days) and are then aggregated into summary audit records (such as total minutes on site) before the raw coordinates are permanently deleted.
  • We do not sell location data and do not use it for advertising.

7. Background Check and Verification Data

Tasker background checks are conducted using publicly available records, including court record databases and the national sex offender registry. Results are used solely to determine Platform eligibility, are reviewed under a defined process, and are stored securely with restricted, logged access — every time authorized personnel view a sensitive field such as a background report, identification detail, or partial tax identifier, that access is recorded in an audit log.

Identity documents you upload are used to verify that your stated name and date of birth match your government-issued ID. Taskers may request a review of their background results, and we handle background information in accordance with applicable law, including fair-chance and consumer-reporting requirements where relevant. If adverse action is taken based in whole or in part on background information, we will follow any legally required notice process.

8. Payment Information

Payments on the Platform are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you add a payment method or fund a Task, your full card number or bank account details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are not stored on Nuvex Nova servers. We retain only limited payment references, such as the card brand, last four digits, and transaction identifiers, which we need for receipts, refunds, and support.

Tasker payouts are delivered through Stripe Connect. Stripe’s processing of your information is governed by its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review at stripe.com/privacy.

9. Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?

We use essential cookies for authentication, security, and session management. These cookies are required for the Platform to work and cannot be disabled through our preference center.

  • Analytics cookies: with your consent, Google Analytics helps us understand traffic, page views, and booking and application funnels.
  • Marketing cookies: with your consent, the LinkedIn Insight Tag and Meta Pixel help us measure advertising campaign conversions such as demo leads, registrations, and purchases.
  • Functional cookies: with your consent, we remember theme, approximate city/state, task filters, and up to five recently viewed tasks.

Analytics and marketing technologies do not load until you consent to the applicable category. You may accept all cookies, use essential cookies only, or change individual categories at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer or the Cookie Settings control on this page.

The consent cookie is retained for up to 12 months. Approximate location is retained for 30 days; task filters and recently viewed tasks for 7 days; and theme preference for up to 365 days. Third parties may retain consented analytics or campaign data under their own policies and retention schedules.

You can also remove or reject cookies using your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent authentication or other core Platform features from working.

Do-Not-Track Signals

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature you can activate to signal your privacy preference. Because no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you in a revised version of this Policy.

10. How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?

In short: if you choose to register or log in using a social account, we may have access to certain information about you. The Platform offers the ability to sign in with your Google account. If you choose to do this, we receive certain profile information from Google, generally your name, email address, and profile picture.

We use the information we receive only for the purposes described in this Policy or otherwise made clear to you on the Platform — primarily to create and authenticate your account. We do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by Google. We recommend reviewing Google’s privacy policy to understand how it collects, uses, and shares your information and how you can set your privacy preferences on its site and apps.

11. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

In short: we aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • Role-based access controls that restrict sensitive data — such as identification documents, background results, and partial tax identifiers — to authorized personnel with a business need.
  • Audit logging of access to sensitive personal information and of security-relevant account events.
  • Automatic session timeouts for inactive internal sessions.
  • Payment card and bank data handled exclusively by our PCI-compliant payment processor.

However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Transmission of personal information to and from the Platform is at your own risk; you should only access the Platform within a secure environment. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.

12. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

In short: we keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. In general:

  • Account and profile information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to support reactivation, disputes, and legal compliance.
  • Raw Tasker location records are retained for approximately 30 days and then aggregated into summary audit records before the raw coordinates are deleted.
  • Task, invoice, commission, payment, and payout records are retained as required by financial, tax, and audit regulations.
  • Identity verification and background records are retained only as long as necessary for eligibility, compliance, and defense of legal claims.
  • Audit logs of sensitive-data access and security events are retained to support accountability and incident investigation.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it, or, if that is not possible (for example, because it is stored in backup archives), we will securely store it and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.

13. What Are Your Privacy Rights?

Depending on where you are located, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know and access: request confirmation of whether we process your personal information and receive a copy of it.
  • Right to correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Right to deletion: request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax or dispute purposes).
  • Right to portability: request a copy of your personal information in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object or restrict: object to or request restriction of certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
  • Right to opt out of marketing: unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. We will continue to send transactional messages necessary to operate your account.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise your rights, contact us through our Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request, and where permitted you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

Account Information

You can review, update, or delete much of your account information at any time by logging in and visiting your profile settings. Upon a deletion request, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases; however, we may retain some information as described in Section 12 to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce our legal terms, and comply with legal requirements.

14. Do United States Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?

In short: if you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional rights, including the rights to access, correct, and delete your personal information, to obtain a copy of it, and to opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for targeted advertising, and certain profiling.

Nuvex Nova does not sell personal information, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use personal information for profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information (as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act): identifiers (such as name, email, IP address); customer records information (such as contact and payment references); professional or employment-related information (such as trade skills and work history); protected classification characteristics only to the extent contained in identity documents (such as date of birth); commercial information (such as Tasks purchased); internet or network activity (such as usage logs); geolocation data (for Taskers during active Tasks); audio or visual information (such as uploaded photos); and inferences drawn for matching and trust scoring. The sources, purposes, and disclosures for each category are described in Sections 2, 3, and 5 of this Policy.

Exercising Your Rights

To exercise your rights, submit a request through our Contact page. We will verify your request using information associated with your account, will respond within the legally required window (generally 45 days, extendable where permitted), and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. California residents may also request information about disclosures to third parties for direct marketing under the “Shine the Light” law; we do not make such disclosures. If we decline to take action on your request, you may appeal our decision by replying to our response, and, where applicable, contact your state Attorney General.

15. Do We Collect Information From Minors?

In short: we do not knowingly collect data from or market to anyone under 18 years of age. The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18, and by using the Platform you represent that you are at least 18. If we learn that personal information from a User under 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete the data. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from anyone under 18, please contact us through our Contact page.

16. International Data Transfers

We are headquartered in, and operate the Platform from, the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have data protection laws different from those of your country.

Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the relevant authorities.

17. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or applications — for example, our payment processor’s checkout pages, mapping services, or social media pages. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or security. Any information you provide directly to a third party is governed by that party’s privacy policy.

18. Do We Make Updates to This Policy?

In short: yes, we will update this Policy as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws and to reflect changes in our practices. The updated version will be indicated by a revised “Last updated” date at the top of this Policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Platform, by email, or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. We encourage you to review this Policy frequently. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes acceptance of it.

If you have questions, comments, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices — including requests to review, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you — please reach out through our Contact page. We will respond as required by applicable law and are happy to help you exercise your rights.
