Identity Verification
Every Tasker Is Verified Before They Reach Your Door
- All taskers must submit a government-issued photo ID before being activated on the platform.
- Identity documents are reviewed by our operations team before any task offers are extended.
- Taskers who cannot verify their identity are permanently ineligible for platform work.
- Clients are never matched with an unverified professional.
Background Checks
Rigorous Background Screening on Every Trade Professional
- Every tasker undergoes a multi-source background check before activation.
- We search criminal court records via CourtListener, a comprehensive public court records database covering federal and state courts across the United States.
- We cross-reference the National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW), a federally managed registry that aggregates data from all 50 states.
- Background check results are reviewed by our ops team — not just passed through an automated filter.
- Taskers with disqualifying findings are notified and given the opportunity to provide context, but certain offenses result in permanent ineligibility.
- Background check status is visible to taskers in their portal at all times.
Trade Assessments
Skills Are Tested, Not Just Claimed
- Every tasker must pass a role-specific trade assessment before receiving work offers.
- Assessments cover 5 topic areas per trade across 6 professions: Plumber, Electrician, HVAC Technician, Painter, Carpenter, and General Maintenance.
- A minimum passing score of 70% is required, completed within a 15-minute window.
- Taskers who fail must wait 72 hours before retaking — preventing rapid-fire guessing.
- This ensures every professional deployed to a client site has demonstrated baseline competency in their trade.
Payment Security
Your Money Is Protected at Every Step
- All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor — the highest level of payment security certification available.
- Nuvex Nova never stores credit card numbers, CVVs, or bank account details on our servers — all sensitive payment data lives exclusively within Stripe's encrypted infrastructure.
- Task payments are held in escrow after collection and only released to taskers after an ops representative formally signs off on task completion.
- Tasker payouts are processed through Stripe Connect — bank transfers are encrypted and go directly to the tasker's verified bank account.
- A three-tier payout approval process (manager → finance → transfer) ensures no unauthorized payments are ever initiated.
Geolocation & On-Site Verification
Real-Time Location Verification for Every Active Task
- Nuvex Nova uses GPS-based geolocation to verify that taskers are physically present at the client's job site during active tasks.
- Location pings are recorded every 5 minutes and logged to a secure audit trail in our database.
- A 200-meter geofence boundary defines the active task zone — departures are flagged automatically.
- A 5-minute grace window prevents false flags from brief, legitimate movements (e.g. returning to a vehicle for equipment).
- All location data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Location data is used exclusively for task verification and billing accuracy — it is never sold or shared with third parties.
- Clients can review task location history for any completed task through their portal.
Data Security
Your Data Is Encrypted and Access-Controlled
- All data transmitted between your browser and Nuvex Nova is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher.
- All data stored in our database is encrypted at rest.
- Access to sensitive data is governed by role-based permissions — ops users, managers, HR, finance, and sales reps each see only the data their role requires.
- Admin-level access is restricted to authorized Nuvex Nova personnel only.
- Session tokens expire automatically to prevent unauthorized reuse.
- We perform regular internal security reviews to identify and patch vulnerabilities.
Dispute & Fraud Protection
Built-In Dispute Resolution and Fraud Prevention
- Clients can submit a dispute within 14 days of task completion through the Dispute Center in their portal.
- Every dispute is reviewed by an ops team member with full access to task records, location history, and communication logs.
- Disputes requiring refunds must be approved by a manager before any credit is issued — no single person can approve their own dispute.
- Platform credits are issued instead of cash refunds to prevent fraudulent chargeback abuse.
- Suspicious account activity is monitored by our ops team and can result in immediate account suspension.
Privacy & Data Handling
We Collect Only What We Need
- We collect only the data necessary to operate the platform: account information, task details, location data during active tasks, and payment processing information.
- We do not sell personal data to third parties under any circumstances.
- Background check data is stored securely and used solely for platform eligibility determination.
